Warriors & Chase Center’s Search for a MVP “Most Valuable Plate”

Warriors & Chase Center’s Search for a MVP “Most Valuable Plate”

As a Bay Area native, I was so excited when the Warriors invited me to watch a game in the Chase Center’s Oracle Club Suite. I’ve watched a game at Chase Center before and loved how nice the stadium is – definitely state of the art. The main reason for the visit this time was to try out Chase Center’s signature food items. The Chase Center has a wide variety of food vendors and they thought it would be fun to award one of their eight signature food items a MVP “Most Valuable Plate” award. The award will be given based on fans’ votes.

Most Valuable Plate Voting Timeline

The competition will take place across two months and fans can vote on Chase Center’s social media pages (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook). The competition kicks off on December 6th and the dates for each match up are as follows:

Most Valuable Plate Food Items

MVP Match-up 1: Adobo Wings vs. Carne Asada Nachos

The Adobo Wings were crispy, tender, and had a nice tangy sweet flavor. The Carne Asada Nachos were generous with the meat and the pico portions which I loved. It also had a nice sprinkle of cheddar cheese. This is a tough one to choose from, but I kept going back for the adobo wings all night.

Jeanie’s Vote: Adobo Wings

MVP Match- up 2: Chicken & Waffle Cone vs. Ice Cream Panini

I’ve been wanting to try bubble waffle cones so I was glad to see this was one of the signature food items! The fried chicken had a nice orange maple flavor. The Ice Cream Panini was an interesting one. The ice cream was sandwiched between two donuts. Sounds very sugary but for some reason it had a salty kick to it, which I liked. I’m not a fan of fried chicken in general so I think the choice here is a bit skewed just based on my personal food preferences.

Jeanie’s Vote: Ice Cream Panini

MVP Match-up 3: Cookie Dubster Milkshake vs. Cinnamon Sugar Churros

Okay my two favorite dishes from the night matched up against each other!! The milkshake was like the best milkshake ever! Reminded me of oreo ice cream. And can you believe it was topped with a cheesecake?! Really wishing I had one of those milkshakes while writing this blog post right now. The churros were also perfect with a nice amount of cinnamon sugar and chocolate to dip.

Jeanie’s Vote: Cookie Dubster Milkshake

MVP Match-up 4: Sweet Crispy Tofu Wok vs. Vegan Reuben Sandwich

If you’re looking for vegan options, Chase Center also has those! The Sweet Crispy Tofu Rice tasted nice and healthy. The Vegan Reuben sandwich tasted like a normal reuben sandwich – I could not tell it was vegan! It was vegan though – made with vegan corned beef on rye bread with sauerkraut. It was yum.

Jeanie’s Vote: Vegan Reuben Sandwich
