Hiking to Fifth Water Hot Springs – Utah

Hiking to Fifth Water Hot Springs – Utah

Distance: 4.5 miles roundtrip

Elevation Gain: 600 ft

Duration: 1 – 2 hours roundtrip

Difficulty: Easy

Fifth Water Hot Springs is my favorite hot springs because of its water color! The water is different shades of blue and green. We went in October and the leaves were autumn colors, so it was just a beautiful sight of colors all around.

The Hike

The trail starts at the parking lot on Diamond Fork Road. It’s a pretty flat trail that runs along the stream.

It will seem pretty long before you get to the hot springs since you’re pretty much just walking straight for a while. You’ll see a few small waterfalls, which means you’re getting closer.

Eventually you’ll get there and it’ll be beautiful, but packed with people. Luckily there’s a lot of pots so you can spread out. Some pots are hotter than others – it ranges from burning to cold, so hopefully you find a good one!

Location

Fifth Water Hot Springs is located a 1.5 hours drive south of Salt Lake City, Utah.
